From the Revd Toddy Hoare

Sir, — Could the General Synod and our Bishops be persuaded to keep sex off the agenda for at least a year?

Sex is not going to go away, but let them offer advice and guidelines only when specifically asked. There is too much interference and time-wasting on the subject.

There are many more important issues to do with life, faith, and spirituality which need addressing with greater focus. If the Church were seen to be less out to control their sex lives, people might start to take it more seriously.

Church numbers need to increase, and all members need to know how to explain and practise their faith in the present climate of pressure from other faiths.
